The Double RL holiday 2014 window concepts were inspired by the Wild West of the late 1800s. These windows portray an emerging boomtown during the expansion of the American frontier.
The concept starts with a directive that is distributed to all RRL stores worldwide. Each regional store implements these concepts according to their individualized spaces, budgets and climates.
For Crazy Horse, Kyo graphically designed the directive, researched inspiration images, and directed concept illustrations. She also worked at most of the New York RRL stores by procuring props, styling mannequin rigs and installing windows.
The Denim & Supply holiday 2014 window concepts were inspired by a fictional bar that would exist in Telluride.

This collage consists of advertising campaign images from the launch of Polo Women's in fall of 2014. To coincide with the launch of Polo women's, a new flagship store was opened on the iconic Fifth Avenue of New York City. This collage is prominently located on the 3rd floor.

Double RL opened it's first ever flagship store during the fall of 2011. This new store concept was the beginning of a global presence of Double RL stores world-wide.
Kyo's graphic design work was used to add small details throughout the window sets to give these windows an added depth. This particular window set was modeled after a fictitious train station of the 1920s.
Rugby opened it's first international store in the fall of 2010 in the famous shopping district of Omotesando, Japan.
Kyo designed and oversaw the installation of this Rugby skull crest on the windows of the store.
Kyo is responsible for designing the window directives for all Double RL and Denim & Supply concepts. Typically there are 2-3 concepts per brand per season that are developed. Directives are then passed to the regional creative teams to implement for their windows.
The design of these internal directives are key to convey the message and tone of each concept.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was the inspiration of the RRL Fall 2014 haberdashery clothing line. For the windows, we take the group to represent a string band ensemble of the old west where ragtime music was popular during the turn of the city.

The summer window concept for Denim & Supply was inspired by the movie The Beach. We wanted to create an environment of a care-free tropical bungalow. A crew of surfers, writers and plant lovers could live in this secluded space together.
